Dr. Craig FisherDr. Craig W. Fischer was born in Buffalo, New York and educated in local schools.  He graduated from Denison University in Ohio where he received his Bachelor of Science degree.   Following this, he received his D.M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Fischer then continued his orthodontic specialty training for another two years, receiving his M.Sc.D degree and Orthodontic Certification from Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry. Dr. Fischer has received his Invisalign training from AlignTech Institute and is certified to treat patients who qualify for the Invisalign appliances. Dr. Fischer has been a specialist in orthodontic treatment for over 25 years.  He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and past president of the Berkshire District Dental Society. He is also an active member in the Rotary Club of Pittsfield and has served on many committees, including the Board of Directors.

Dr. Fischer comes from a medical family - his maternal grandfather was a dentist, his paternal grandfather, father and two brothers were physicians, and his sister is a nurse.

Dr. Fischer loves outdoor activities!An avid physical fitness buff, Dr. Fischer golfs, canoes, bikes, plays tennis and hikes.  In addition, he enjoys photography and has studied with many renown photographers while taking classes at the New England School of Photography in Boston.

Dr.  Fischer is also a fine carpenter, cabinet maker and woodworker.

Dr. Fischer plays several musical instrumenrts.

An accomplished musician, Dr. Fischer plays electric guitar and drums as well as sings.   He has performed in several "rock and roll" shows at local theaters in Pittsfield.  When in college, he was the lead singer of a rock group called "The Hustlers" who recorded an album for RCA. Dr. Fischer is married, has two grown sons and six grandchildren.

Why did Dr. Fischer become an orthodontist?
A caring person, he loves helping people look and feel their best.  His interest in orthodontics began at an early age when he was an orthodontic patient.   Over and above all the other interests and talents that Dr. Fischer has, his first love has always been and continues to be Orthodontics and providing his patients with the greatest smile possible!
