Meet Dr. Fischer

Dr. Fischer enjoys all aspects of being an orthodontist, especially having the opportunity to work with so many unique and special patients. Understanding the importance of a great smile, Dr. Fischer looks forward to working with you and helping you achieve a beautiful, healthy smile that you’ll be excited to share. No matter what your age, where you’re from, or what you’d like to achieve with orthodontic treatment, Dr. Fischer is here to help you, and to make sure that your orthodontic experience is a positive one!

Education and Credentials

Dr. Fischer was born in Buffalo, NY, and attended local schools. He graduated from Denison University in Ohio where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Fischer knew then that he wanted to pursue a career in orthodontics and began his orthodontic education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS).

Following his dental education, Dr. Fischer went on to complete specialty training in orthodontics for another two years, and received his Master of Science in Dentistry (MScD) degree and an orthodontic certification from Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry.

Dr. Fischer has also earned a certification from Align Tech Institute, and is a certified Invisalign^® provider.

Professional Organizations and Continuing Education

Continuing education is an important part of every orthodontist’s career. Dr. Fischer regularly participates in continuing education as a way to provide his patients with the latest, most advanced orthodontic treatments. He is a member of the:

• American Association of Orthodontists (AAO)
• American Dental Association (ADA)
• Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS)
• Berkshire District Dental Society (past president)

Community Support

Dr. Fischer feels fortunate to practice in the Berkshires, and believes strongly in giving back to the communities that have given him so much support over the years.

He is an active member of the Rotary Club of Pittsfield and has had the opportunity to serve on the organization’s Board of Directors and several other committees. Dr. Fischer loves being an active member of the community and a part of his patient’s lives. He enjoys sponsoring local school sports teams, after-prom parties, and important school fund-raisers. Dr. Fischer is also an enthusiastic contributing supporter of Barrington Stage Company, the Colonial Theater, and is a member of the Greylock Society of United Way.

Personal Interests and Activities

When he’s not at the practice, busy sharing smiles with his patients, Dr. Fischer enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, hiking, biking, playing golf and tennis, canoeing, and kayaking. He enjoys the arts, especially music (Dr. Fischer plays the guitar, drums, and sings) and photography. Dr. Fischer also enjoys carpentry and woodworking. Dr. Fischer looks forward to working with you and your family, and sharing so many wonderful smiles throughout the years to come.
