After
you call to schedule your consultation visit, a new patient form,
along with a m ap
showing directions to our office will be sent to you. Please
complete the new patient questionnaire and bring it with
you to your appointment.
When
you arrive, Dr. Fischer's staff will show you a video explaining
more about orthodontic treatment, what happens if treatment is
indicated and exactly what the next step should be - the taking
of orthodontic records. |
Often,
orthodontic records can be taken at the initial visit, or an additional
appointment can be set up in the near future. |
Diagnostic
records enable Dr. Fischer to study, in depth, your orthodontic
problem and arrive at a treatment plan to provide you with a healthy
and attractive smile. These records include: |
 |
Impressions
of the teeth (study casts) |
 |
Photographs
of the face and teeth |
 |
Measurements
of the anterior teeth |
 |
Orthodontic
x-rays (radiographs) to study the jaw size and relationship of
the upper and lower jaws. |
Approximately
one week after taking records, you will come in for a second appointment
to sit down with Dr. Fischer and be shown your records and hear
exactly how your case will be treated.
|
You
will learn what type of braces will be used, how long treatment
will take, and the exact fee for your treatment. |
Our
office manager, will discuss several different payment
options to meet your budget. If insurance is involved, we
will be happy to work with your insurance carrier. Please note: we do not accept MassHealth. |
